First Time Authors
First time authors Penny Rudge and Claire Moss will talk about thir experiences of writing and publishing their first novels.

Million-Miles-An-Hour Show with Nick Toczek
Nick Toczek presents his wonderful one-man show in which he chats and jokes, performs his snappy poems, does brilliantly baffling magic tricks, tells and acts out fantastic tales, and introduces you to some of his wild and wilful puppets...all at breakneck speed. Bring the family - and prepare to have fun.

Ramsey Campbell
Join us on a winter's evening with the writer described by Time Out as "Easily the best horror writer working in Britain today". He will be talking about the genre as a whole and about the stories and novels which have seen him compared to M.R.James, Clive Barker and Stephen King.

Join Katy Coope, artist and author of How to Draw Manga: A Step-by-Step Guide for a two hour drawing workshop.

Keep Kids Safe on the Internet
This free session will give parents and carers an understanding of the main social networking sites such as MSN, Bebo, Facebook and Twitter. Paul Stephenson (Youth Matters Officer with Harrogate Police) will highlight the potential risks of these sites whilst giving essential skills regarding safety and security measures that can help protect children and young people on the Internet.
